Please explain how the VA Governor, House of Delegate members, and Sheriff shutdown the Federal Government? Do they even teach civics in school anymore? Voting along party lines is stupid and "unhealthy" for our democracy. We need a healthy balance between the Democrat controlled senate and Republican controlled House. If they would just work together, perhaps removing incumbents would increase chances of that happening.

If it were me, the damn government would still be shutdown. I guess when the gub'ment employees were stuck at home during the the day, their wives gave them lists of tasks to get done. That was real work for them -- much unlike having the whole day to surf on the Internet at work.
