I worry whenever I see this signature from 496. Does anyone know him personally? Is he a violent and abusive man as his posts would suggest?

This is like an amateur hour version of 4chan.
His signature is just mocking a fact of life -- people die, and if somebody comes onto Fairfax Underground to talk about it, they are going to be flamed.
