Meade's Job Hunt

http://meadeskelton.tumblr.com/post/22913605116/job-huntin Can you imagine how poor of an impression he is making? How does his money and roots even come up in an interview at a restaurant? I bet this is how he introduces himself to managers: "My trust fun is runnin' out and I need a job!"
I went on a job hunt the other day. Its very discouraging! No one would give me an interview, but I did give them a resume. I went to restaurants (several in Carytown), and other places. I really do like to work with people. Even though some times, its hard to deal with certain types of people (if you know what I mean). I have nothing against people of their kind, but they do seem to carry a lot of negativity with them. I just wish more folks would be care free and friendly, like in my daddy’s day. Back then they also knew how to keep crime under control!
Anyways, most places won’t hire me because they are run by the liberal establishment. People like that believe they are superior in intelligence to everyone else. They won’t hire you if they think you have a hint of old money.. Which is ironic, because most liberals are part of the rich and elite . I try to hide my old Richmond roots as much as I can. Maybe I’m just too honest. But I believe in being up front and honest with everyone- especially in business. I guess people don’t like me just because Im a white Southern male who believes in traditional family values. I do have my music, but it doen’t seem to pay the bills. Oh, well. I know I can get another part time job soon. I am always honest with people.
