Teabaggers = Anarchists
Posted by: Fat~Bottom~Girls ()

"'Anarchist'? Why in the world wouldn't I use the term anarchy?" said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., in a CNN interview. "That's what they are. They're anarchists. They don't believe in government -- at any level. ... They're anarchists, just like they were at the beginning of the 20th century. ... They're not blowing up buildings and they're not killing people. But they're throwing monkey wrenches in the wheels of government."

Harry Reid is wrong. The term "Anarchist" really doesn't apply.

These guys opted into the system - by participating, campaigning for office, raising funds, getting elected, taking an oath to uphold the Constitution, accepting a paycheck and benefits from the Tax Payers - and then shitting all over the very system which puts food on their table and protects them and their family.

I think the proper term is Treason.

Hang them.

Let their bodies rot on the rope.

Since reading comprehension is clearly not your strong suit, this is what Harry said (emphasis mine):

"[Teabaggers are] not blowing up buildings and they're not killing people. But they're throwing monkey wrenches in the wheels of government."

Of course Harry Reid is a racist.

He's on the record for praising Obama's light skin and lack of a "negro dialect".

Well, the Tea Party Republicans seems to have many characteristics that are common among anarchists. Their political opposition seems to have morphed into something more than that. They are more than willing to jeopardize the American economy or public harmony with more continued inability to re-assume power. It is important for us to recognize this recent behavior by newly elected Tea Party Republicans and what dangers that poses to the country.

These people may go from bringing the country to the point of economic disaster for political gain to doing it if given the chance due to a lack of political power.

An anarchist is a person who believes that government and laws are not necessary. Neither the Republicans and the Tea Party Republicans believe in anarchy. The American economy is being jeopardized by the regime in the White House with their uncontained borrowing in order to keep the economy going. The economy is unsustainable if we keep borrowing for our bloated government.

In addition, Obamacare is taking away healthcare from people as well as people losing jobs because of this horrible law.

The partial shutdown of the government is showing us just what little impact the government has on our everyday life, yet we are paying trillions of dollars for this out of control system.

That simply is not true.

Teabaggers wish to abolish the Depts. of Labor, Education, Commerce, HHS, and the EPA. That is the goal of an anarchist.

The ACA is a law which teabaggers wish to abolish. That is the goal of an anarchist.

The Tea Party want selective rules or agencies abolished. They do not want the government abolished. They do believe in the rule of law and the necessity of some government agencies. Remember the Tea Party and the Republicans are the party that believes in the Constitution.

The Liberals, or Teabaggers as they are referred to here want anarchy. They are the ones who hate the Constitution and feel it does not apply to them. As stated by David Graeber above, the Occupy movement was all about anarchy and not living by the rules.

Youre wasting your time trying to have an intelligent discussion with Gerry/fatbottom. Just point out when things they say are bullshit and move on. Gerry will create more names as his gets ignored.

Anyone who uses the term teabagger is to much of a mental midget to have an intellectual discussion with anyway. Theyre children just like Reid, cant have a mature discussion about the role of parts of the government so just start throwing shit at the wall and hope something sticks.

Just point out to them they want abortion laws removed so by their own definition theyre anarchists as well.

Like Anarchists, teabaggers believe that intrusion by the gov't. in society and commerce is unnecessary and harmful.

Like Anarchists, teabaggers believe that the gov't. is immoral.

Like Anarchists, teabaggers believe that the gov't. robs citizens of their freedom.

I think teabaggers and anarchists are going to fundamentally differ on the issue of government. Anarchism wants a completely government-free society. I am certain that teabaggers want limited government, but they still think there should be a government. Not exactly the same.

Individualist anarchism refers to several traditions of thought within the anarchist movement that emphasize the individual and his or her will over external determinants such as groups, society, traditions, and ideological systems. Individualist anarchism is not a single philosophy but refers to a group of individualistic philosophies that sometimes are in conflict. Benjamin R. Tucker, a famous 19th-century individualist anarchist, held that "if the individual has the right to govern himself, all external government is tyranny."

Read Tucker, bitches. Alive today, he'd be a teabagger darling!

I don't think so. You might be able to read but you can't understand what you are reading.

The Tea Party does want some form of limited government at the Federal and State level. Tucker (apparently) explicity says "all external government is tyranny".

We are not a country of anarchists (Regardless The Teabaggers)

October 4, 2013 | By Elizabeth Warren

If you watch the anarchist tirades coming from extremist Republicans in the House, you'd think they believe that the government that governs best is a government that doesn't exist at all.

But behind all the slogans of the Tea Party – and all the thinly veiled calls for anarchy in Washington – is a reality: The American people don't want a future without government.

When was the last time the anarchy gang called for regulators to go easier on companies that put lead in children's toys? Or for inspectors to stop checking whether the meat in our grocery stores is crawling with deadly bacteria? Or for the FDA to ignore whether morning sickness drugs will cause horrible deformities in our babies?

When? Never. In fact, whenever the anarchists make any headway in their quest and cause damage to our government, the opposite happens.

After the sequester kicked in, Republicans immediately turned around and called on us to protect funding for our national defense and to keep our air traffic controllers on the job.

And now that the House Republicans have shut down the government – holding the country hostage because of some imaginary government "health care boogeyman" – Republicans almost immediately turned around and called on us to start reopening parts of our government.

Why do they do this? Because the boogeyman government in the alternate universe of their fiery political speeches isn't real. It doesn't exist.

Government is real, and it has three basic functions:
1.Provide for the national defense.
2.Put rules in place rules, like traffic lights and bank regulations, that are fair and transparent.
3.Build the things together that none of us can build alone – roads, schools, power grids – the things that give everyone a chance to succeed.

These things did not appear by magic. In each instance, we made a choice as a people to come together. We made that choice because we wanted to be a country with a foundation that would allow anyone to have a chance to succeed.

The Food and Drug Administration makes sure that the white pills we take are antibiotics and not baking soda. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration oversees crash tests to make sure our new cars have functioning brakes. The Consumer Product Safety Commission makes sure that babies' car seats don't collapse in a crash and that toasters don't explode.

We are alive, we are healthier, we are stronger because of government. Alive, healthier, stronger because of what we did together.

We are not a country of anarchists. We are not a country of pessimists and ideologues whose motto is, "I've got mine, the rest of you are on your own." We are not a country that tolerates dangerous drugs, unsafe meat, dirty air, or toxic mortgages.

We are not that nation. We have never been that nation. And we never will be that nation.

The political minority in the House that condemns government and begged for this shutdown has its day. But like all the reckless and extremist factions that have come before it, its day will pass – and the government will get back to the work we have chosen to do together.

Okay, so now we know you don't live in this state. Or at least haven't been here long.

GerBear, the Commonwealth of Virginia has had more Democrat than Republican governors since the beginning of time.

In fact, prior to the current governor we had two in a row that were Democrats.

For the former Republican Governors Association chairman, 2013 has been the ultimate political rollercoaster. The year began with a historic victory on transportation reform that lifted McDonnell’s popularity into the stratosphere and fueled new talk of a 2016 presidential run — before a federal investigation of undisclosed gifts from Star Scientific CEO Jonnie Williams enveloped the governor’s administration in a cloud of scandalous headlines about secret loans, New York shopping sprees and an engraved Rolex watch.

But to the astonishment of Virginia politicos, a wave of fresh polling this fall has shown that the governor’s job approval rating remains solid or even strong. Despite a summer’s worth of painful scrutiny and scolding from editorial boards and political leaders up and down the state, every recent survey from Virginia shows McDonnell’s approval rating in positive territory.

A POLITICO poll published this week pegged McDonnell’s net job approval at a modest 4 percentage points above the break-even line. Internal RGA polling from earlier this month had him at a positively herculean 60 percent job approval, with 55 percent of independent voters endorsing his job performance.

I bet you he wouldn't win re-election from jail.

Just like voters were under the impression Obama would address the nations spending issues/deficit. The common denominator between the two is that neither happened.

McDonnell's approval w/ 'scandal' = 54%

Obama's approval w/o scandal = 37%

I don't know about that, I heard Obama's approval went up to 48 % and Republicans are down lower than ever in the history of their polling. Down to 24 % and dropping. 24%, that means even self proclaimed Republicans are turning on them. You idiots are probably their last supporters in the country.
