Personalized Plates

Why do you guys think of people who put the description of their car in their plates? Like if its BMW M3, they would say something like "BMW M3".

I've seen a newer E92 M3 with the plate 'RATED M.' I thought it was witty but at the same time it might get more envious people to key your car- as this particular one was.

For the most part , those plates are some kind of announcement how cool you think you are.

They're a lot like bumper stickers actually. Everybody has to know your other car is a Vette, that your ugly baby is in the car, you're beloved pimply snotty nosed teen is a Honor Student, or you don't like abortion.

Years ago in another state I saw someone with a license plate that said "My TR7". Problem was the car wasn't a TR7.

Why do black women always have plates that start with "Lady(whatever)"?

How many times have you rolled up on a car with "QT.." or "SXY.." and have been totally disappointed by the beefer behind the wheel?

My father owned a 1976 BMW 2002. The license plates read "MMII". No one, and I mean, NO ONE ever got the meaning of his plates. And he was even very active with the DCBMWCC, too.

I can't see the logic behind little decals on some out of state plates. Like I saw one from MA. with a little Bruins logo. I would not pay extra to advertise any lousy Sports team, there is enough free advertising with T-shirts and hats. The only decals on license plates that I'd pay extra for would be a Veteran's plate, a Cancer plate, something like that.

You can't understand a Bruins fan wanting a Bruins logo on his/her license plate? Career-wise, you should stay as far away from marketing as is humanly possible.

PS - VA has plenty of 'affinity plates' to choose from as well. Check out the DMV website.

Don't worry, magikmark is too stupid to have noticed that, let alone own an AMG.
