Hi from So Cal! Welome to the club! It's the depth that caused the widespread shaking. For example, the last one here in Long Beach was last week, 12 miles deep, did not feel it three miles away. Yours was less than three miles deep and felt all the way to Boston. If the door is heavy don't stand in the threshold, a heavy door can knock you right out ot the threshold and into something. The deal is to get between say a couch and chair or a bed and bureau and crouch or lie down, so if something falls it hits across the two items. Get it? I keep shoes, shorts and water and keys and flashlight right beside me. If it hits I'm outta there! That is, if the gate opens outside my complex like its supposed to lol.The last bad one I had just moved here and I ran out and no one else even looked up.
