When bad songs attack

I can't get that R&B song "One Sweet Day" out of my head despite the fact that I hate it, haven't heard it in a decade, and haven't thought about it for roughly the same amount of time.

What songs plagued you like this?

EDIT: It's "One Sweet Day" by Boyz II Men and Mariah Carey. Christ, I hate it even more now.

Are you talking about the 60's girl group song? I never considered it R&B. more like doo wop, Motown or something.

Sometimes, I wake up with a song in my head that won't go away. I mean I literally wake up hearing it. Today was "Burning Down the House" by Talking Heads. A few days ago it was Men at Work's "Down Under". Normally, with good songs I can deal with it. But not when it comes to this piece of crap. If I hear it, it embeds my brain like the earworm from Wrath of Kahn.

This little nightmare has haunted my ears for over a decade. I like the little Svedish meatball singer, but it is truly an awful song to have ringing in my ears.
