I unequivocally do not support Peter Fondas position. The comedy here is the fact a hero of the Left, the co-star of the iconic "Easy Rider" as well as the bro of Hanoi Jane makes a statement that borders on criminal itself.

Is the media even giving a fuck? Negative.

The media was busy during the Tucson tragedy pinning the then undetermined motive on Tea Partiers, talk radio, Libertarian thought- you name it, anything but the possiblity of a highly disturbed and even apolitical shooter as it proved to be.

If you can't see the irony of the politicization of some heated talk of the Right, and the "fart in the wind" treatment of this news blurb, there is no helping you.

Mr FOnda merely represents what happens to most old pharts. They start believing in God and actually believing they deserve all the good things they have obtained. Now for your own political point you want to make him a darling of the left. What a weak political point it is.
