I do feel that Veteran's preference should extent into the private sector as much as the public half. Hell, these vets who come back have done just as much or more to protect corporate interest overseas, particularly the oil companies that they have earned some slack now that they need a civilian job. I know there are alot of fields out there that require extensive schooling and knowledge and it is impossible to slot with a vet, I'm referring to jobs with a more "on the job training" focus, blue collar, computer operator, manual, production, whatever.
