Why are you worried about polls, McCain has already said he "guarantees he'll win." What more do you need.

do better? well if you want people to take out high deductible insurance policies I guess the article is correct. the bias of the author is interesting how he blames the cost of low deductible insurance as the cause for spiraling health costs...and the cure being high deductible policies. As if the aging population of the US isnt a factor...and as if the aging population isnt in need of low deductible health insurance policies. The article doesnt even mention how McSame's proposal to allow people to cross state lines looking for health insurance will bypass state laws requiring pre-exisitng illnesses to be covered.

Soooo..the bottom line here folks..is if you are young and healthy and plan on staying that way for the rest of your life...yes, the McSame plan is better.

Once again a dummy confuses a partisan opinion piece for journalism.

FYI - The problem with McCain's plan isn't the tax credit. The problem is it forces people into Individual Plans. If you have ever had to shop around for insurance, you know insurers can exclude you from coverage or charge you out the nose for pre-existing conditions (even very nominal ones like taking anti-depressants or back problems) if you have to get insurance as an individual. The insurance companies can't do this through employer sponsored group plans. That is why McCain is doing this, so insurers can cherry-pick who they cover. It may bring down the costs of premiums, but the number of Americans excluded will explode.

McCain doesn't force you to change insurance. If you have insurance through employers and like it, you can keep it. If you look at the chart, for most middle class and low income people, the 5000 dollar credit is more than the current tax benefits, meaning you can upgrade your plan to a better one. The plan is very progressive and actually may tax the rich more than they are paying now.

But under Obama, I guess all the uninsured will sign up Obama sponsored government health care, and the insurance companies can't say no to the messiah? I get it. Only the government has the power to screw the insurance companies. That's socialist.

Obama is very deceptive in his radio ads. He doesn't tell you for 95% Americans, the 5000 dollar tax credits will more than offset your tax liability and leave you with some extra if you want to upgrade to a better plan.

I'm sorry, but in the matter of deception, McSame's campaign has told significantly more lies and exaggerations than his counterpart.

i have heard that the tax credit under mcsame's plan is indexed to the general cpi..vice the medical cpi...in which case the credit will diminish over time to a great extent.
