I want to run for Governor of VA. Here's my five point platform to improve the Commonwealth
Date: January 12, 2011 05:17PM

1. End speed limits on Virginia highways
2. Permit fully nude dancers and hard liquor at Virginia strip clubs
3. Ban police and troopers from roads and interstates at rush hour
4. End concealed carry permits; recognize Constitutional carry AKA no state permits to exercise one's right to bear arms
5. Allow real bars; none of this restaurant/bar crap

What say you?

The problem with #4 is that without a permit, citizens of VA would not be allowed to carry in other states via reciprocity as they can now.

#4 isn't a problem; the fact that most states place restrictions on the right to bear arms is a problem.

Plus, even if Virginia took a proper stand for liberty like the fine folks of Alaska, Arizona, and Vermont, a Virginian could apply for, say a Utah permit and gain reciprocal ability to carry in other states. Correct?

Onto more important topics: we MUST end the prohibition on nipples and vag!

So I take it a perfect evening for you would be to high tail it to your local strip bar where you can drink hard liquor and get a lap dance while wearing a gun.

Incorrect, Radiophile. I would never touch alcohol while carrying.

I'm all for it. How about focusing on different methods of making revenue and reducing our tax burden. That would be a big plus in my book.

Got my vote and you should legalize marijuana and tax and regulate it! That will create revenue and jobs!

Heck, we can get that and more if we just move to Arkansas.

Are there any anti-polygamy laws in Arkansas?

"5. Allow real bars; none of this restaurant/bar crap "

I'm for #5, now that would be a "reel jobs" bill.

"2. Permit fully nude dancers and hard liquor at Virginia strip clubs"

Also #2. Why bother having pasties anyway?

For number 4, you can do "Alaska carry", where a permit is optional for people who want to carry out of state. For in-state carry, no permit needed.
