thanks, brit. no worries, moderation is my middle name. i've met several people through my new job but i'm curious as to other methods of making friends. (other than singles websites/ads, as those things creep me out.) the barscene has become blase. either it has, or i have. not sure which one.

true, true, moderation is key with most anything - you have a good head on your shoulders. I don't much care for the bar scene either, just not my cup of tea. Your best bet is usually through friends, work, school, or some mutual endeavour you fancy (i.e. if you like cycling join a club and you may meet someone that way). Imo, the key to pick up anyone is not to look...seems counter-intuitive but it works. Every time I foreswore ever dating within a couple months I was at it.

Women are especially keen on picking up on this from men...and for men it's not to want or appear needy. That's probably the single most unattractive thing a woman can know...and they know. They can smell it on a man a mile a way. It's important for the man to know himself and know what he wants (not necessarily w women only per se...but w life). Anyway, I'm really going off on a tangent here. Need to sleep been working too long.

+1. i totally agree. i'm not on a manhunt per se, just out for new friends at the moment. i guess the post of my BOB was a lil' misleading.
