I don't think black people should be embarrassed for liking fried chicken or watermelon. It's really no different than asian people liking rice or Russians liking vodka or americans liking fries and ketchup.

There is no wrongdoing in eating what ones culture prefers. I think people blow this shit way out of proportion and need to get on with their lives.

I'm not black, but I love fried chicken and watermelon. I also like rice, fries and ketchup. I think KFC was simply targeting a big portion of the viewing audience that likes their product.

As I said before, when our washing machine died and we purchased on online - shipping etc took 2 weeks (Sears ran out of the one we purchased so it took even longer).

We went to the Laundromat and my wife became depressed that everyone in the laundry mat drove a better car than hers. It is all priorities and easy credit I explained to her.

We now live in a nation where the poorest people seem to drive the nicest cars. When I had no money, I lived like I had no money. A piece of shit used TV I bought from a pawn shop (no cable). A used car I paid $2K for. An apartment in a shitty neighborhood. No phone.

Now everyone wants to live like they make $150K a year, when they actually make $20K. They drive the fucking Escalades with spinners. They live in a $400K townhome. They eat out everyday. They have DirecTV and FIOS and 50" HDTVs.

Then, when they default on their mortgage and get their shit put on the curb, they are on Channel 9..."Boo hooo. Bank of America did this to me!!"

Fuck these people. Maybe NOW they can live with shit like I did.

I will tell you one thing. When you have nothing, it gives you all the incentive in the world to earn enough money to get the fuck out of that situation. Providing the means for poor people to have things they can't afford does nothing to get them out of poverty.

You should. I have many real life examples from better ways to grocery shop, cutting down on water usage and some common sense ways to slash your electricty bill drastically. Most of the tips are either common sense approaches or have been around for years but the average person is too lazy or just does not give a f*ck.

It's all scale. Most people, regardless of class, whine about something. Hell, look at the stupid kid from Mclean in the Black out Band video "whining" about wanting to play video games. Look at the family associate on this board whining about the criticism of the video. My kid whines about going to school in the morning. The Teabaggers come to DC every few months to whine and gripe about stupid crap they know nothing about (and they, mostly white, take the time to make signs, but don't take the time to spell check).

For God's sake, FFXU is full of "whiners;" put a dead deer on the FFX CO Parkway, or suspend a kid from Robinson, and we will certainly get thread or two of complaints.

The whining from this group about running out of chicken displays the feeling that something was taken away, that earlier they felt they had. It was not a long term anger, it was on the spot emotion from being let down by the system. We all need to stop the whining, at least when the news cameras are around. ,
