Did Hussein Obama abandon The War Against Terror? What happened to it? Are we losing? he never says the words TERRORISM and continues to bow to the islams, like he did in Saudi Arabia and Egypt speech.

It's the Bush cabal that got into this mess - we haven't deposed of any dictatorships - none.

Ah you may argue that Saddam is gone and the Taliban are gone - but when we leave and one day we will - what replaces the US governing those countries will be the same sort of thugs that had previously ruled them.

In fact, most everyone will agree that when the US leaves Iraq that it will fall into a sectarian land-grab. It's been occurring for the last several years, but when we leave it will be much more overt and deadly. The result will be heavy-handed rule from a religiously aligned political figure.

In Afghanistan - we have routed the Taliban - that's a good thing - but we have not been able to install anything remotely close to an effective replacement. Karzai rules nominally at best the major cities only where government outposts are strong. His government is inept and corrupt. Afghanistan like Iraq will one day be left to it's own devices and I can guarantee you that a puppet government much like we have in place and not unlike the Soviet puppet government will fall fairly quickly. Afghanistan has their own game for government and our coming along and forcing our rules doesn't work there.

Obamy didn't cause any of this, that falls squarely on the Bush clan. Obamy instead is tasked with trying to clean up and move forward. I, like you, soaring eagle believe he will fail. But unlike you I don't advocate his failure. He is very likely to fail due to the inherent nature of both those nations. I advocate getting out and letting the pieces fall as they may.

War should never be an option unless absolutely necessary. I do believe war was necessary against Afghanistan for harbouring Osamy and failing to hand him over. I do not believe the continued war there is necessary especially so on the scale that we are engaging upon. The war in Afghanistan should be drastically scaled back and focused primarily on his hunt and capture/kill.

As much as I despise Islam and everything it stands for, I think Obama is doing the right thing here. We just need to hold on and hopefully Islam and the other dopey and dangerous religions fall apart under modern scrutiny.
The only way to defeat terrorism for good is from within and the best weapon we can use is education.
