Paul, the best way is to attempt to have sex. A tranny's lady parts don't work, so they have to use lube. If she says that she's just not getting there and needs lube, or sneaks off to the bathroom before you actually do it, your suspicions might be validated.

Also, look at the throat and hands.

Seems like sound advice coming from someone who has been there and done that personally!

Tucker Max actually pointed out the lube thing, which was pointed out to him by a gay guy. The throat is common knowledge, and who hasn't seen a chick with oversized hands and thought, "That's gotta be a dude."

Another reliable way would be to invite a bona-fide female friend along for a social drink on your next date - I'd be willing to bet 90% accuracy on the beaver-to-beaver ID (kind of like 'IFF' in combat aviation - chicks can almost always id bogies and friendlies in a combat environment). All in all if you are thinking it, if you are asking it I have to believe you already know the answer.

Of course you cannot ask her - that is a lose-lose unless you do not mind being involved with a trans/cross gender person. I would friggin pay to be there when you ask and she is not BOOM!

I have never seen a transexual that I would consider very attractive, if you actually look at them for more than 5 seconds. Some might catch your eye if they're dolled up with makeup and crap, (I'm just speaking about seeing them on TV), but if you watch them a little longer and hear them speak it's usually clear.

There was some comedian who did a routine about how to tell if your date is really a woman, if you're not sure. At the end, if you've figured out it is a woman, he said "then congratulations, you're about to have sex with a very ugly woman."
