I hear Bristol and Amy Poeher talked about nusery themes at the post show party.

Andrea Mitchell was on MSNBC this morning gushing about Palin's performance. I take it she is voting McCain/Palin because I haven't really heard that from anyone else.

They're panning her performance on Brian and the Judge right now--Foxs News Talk Radio. They seem to think Alex [sic] Baldwin threw his performance...

Maybe you should try reading more than daily kos. Allesandra Stanley said it was a "delightful performance on Saturday stood out from the efforts of other politicians who have made fun of themselves on the NBC late-night comedy show." She went on to say, "it was definitely entertaining, but it was hard at times to tell whether it was a bold political tactic or a show-business audition" Ms. Stanley isn't contending that this performance qualifies her to be VP - nobody is. Perhaps you should allow yourself (just for a second) to take your political blinders off for a second and see it for what it is - a funny skit on a show that hasn't seen ratings like that in 14 years. You come off as a petty little bitch.

Please. Palin was not funny. She was boring. You can blame the material if you want. And the reason the numbers were so high was that people wanted to tune in to see her crash and burn, which she didn't. But she did excel, either.

As for "political blinders," I will be the first to admit that John McCain owned the room at the Al Smith Dinner last week. His delivery was hilarious. Obama was only "okay." In fact, I still laugh at McCain's appearance on SNL a few years ago when he was in the Lifetime Movie about the guy who stood too close to his wife. When he isn't being "handled" by idiots, McCain can be quite funny.

The real political blinders are people who are effusive about Palin's SNL performance. The best anyone can say was that she was adequate given the material she had to work with. To say she was funny or excelled is just dubious.

Well, the NY Times TV critic, who happens to do this for a living, and is by no means a political of supporter disagrees.

By Governor Palin not confronting Fey in a comedic, yet hokey dramatic manner, as Hillary did with Amy Poehler a few months back and Wahlberg just did with Sandberg on the same episode, the Governor failed to achieve any characteristic elevation, hero attribution, or good natured justice from her appearance. Her appearance fell flat and did nothing for the woman seeking the Vice Presidency but display she can be nothing more than a little bit beyond “just there.”

That Cafferty clip is probably funnier than anything SNL's aired in the past 15 years.

Tina Fey was AWFUL on Letterman Friday night. Like her or not, Sarah Palin continues to be a class act.

I'm still waiting for Palin to do an open format talk show, probably never happen because Palin is spacey and can't even complete sentences.

The NYC crowd reaction in the streets was suprisingly cordial to Palin and her family. What really impressed me was how low key the Palin entourage was in NYC this weekend. It was all pretty refreshing after all the times I've been stopped to cool my heals waiting for Pres and Sen Clinton to play through.
