What I love is how every four years Republicans keep hollering that we can't elect a Democrat because he will "ruin the economy" and can't be trusted to keep us safe. Too late for that!

Exactly. But now is when you will see all of the bullshi* conspiracy theories come out from the GOP. How the Dems rigged the Palin finding, they are involved in voter fraud?

Seems to me the Dems were being ridiculed in 2000 when it was apparent that there was foul play in Fla.

Personally I love the fact the GOP is imploding and McCain is starting to crack along with his crowds. I though "that one" was the nail in the coffin but the Palin finding my be the one that seals the deal!

Let's look at some of Hoover's proposals:

Hoover saw the presidency as a vehicle for improving the conditions of all Americans by regulation. Long before he entered politics he denounced laissez-faire thinking. As Commerce Secretary he had taken an active pro-regulation stance.

Hoover expanded civil service coverage of Federal positions

Canceled private oil leases on government lands.

Advocated tax reduction for low-income Americans.

Closed certain tax loopholes for the wealthy.

Doubled the number of veteran's hospital facilities.

Proposed federal loans for urban slum clearances.

Advocated fifty-dollar-per-month pensions for Americans over 65.

Accelerated federal building projects.

-- Hoover sounds more like Obama on economic policy.
