Mushroom Cloud?

So, years ago after 9/11, we heard from this administration that they had evidence--troubling evidence--about Iraq's WMD programs and that we should trust them that they steps they wanted to take--the Iraq war--were necessary. We couldn't wait for "the smoking gun that might come in the form of a mushroom cloud."
Now, we are hearing that the administration has presented Congress with evidence about what might happen to our financial system if Congress doesn't act that make Senator Chuck Schumer "gulp." I want to trust my government--as I did after 9/11--but I can't help wondering if we haven't seen this movie before. We are tripping over ourselves to sign up for what will probably be a trillion dollar liability--on this administration's word. Anybody else worried?

I'm not sure where/how your Chuck Schumer fits in...but what we have probably now signed up to is a diminsihed future in the form of inflation above and beyond increases in income. Read that to mean a lower standard of living.
Can you trust your government...of course not...these are forces are now even beyond their control. Could something have been done earlier? Maybe...but you'd probaly have to go back twenty-nine years ago Jimmy Carter told Americans that the energy crisis was "a clear and present danger to our nation".
He failed to convince us...and every other president lacked the will or vision to pursue it.

I would only counsel folks with what appear to be obvious mental conditions, like yourself Vince, that they seek appropriate help.
Not trying to be personal, but you seriously seem to have some issues that you might want to get checked out.
