So the Feds are now offering good money after bad to the Wall Street firms who f-d themselves in the housing market...

I love how the "free market Republicans" create conditions where this kind of shit happens. If the Congress had any sense of leadership, they would repeal the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act which handicaps Glass Steagell and the provisions that separates banks from brokerage firms.
