Songwriters often change a person's gender to hide who they are really talking about and avoid legal issues. The lyrics sounds more like he's talking about Obama to me.

In 2007, he was named No. 2 on Blender magazine's list of "worst lyricists in rock".

Blender doesn't know what they are talking about. Peart is a an awesome lyricist. Songs such as: Force 10, Red Sector A, Spindrift,have intense and meaningful lyrics. At least Peart doesn't write songs that have the word "baby" in every song. Has anyone ever seen the the lyrics from Mike Jackson on the song "Bad'? Those are some intense lyrics.
I am sure if Blender had a poll of the best and worst musicians. I am sure Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart would be in the top 10 of the worst in the business. I bet Paul Abdul, 50 Cent, and Lil Wayne would be in the top 10 for the best musicians. At least Rush writes their own music and doesn't sample music from other artists.
Next time I want to read about a hard rock, progressive rock, or heavy metal band, I am sure not buying Blender Magazine. Blender is the epitome of debauchery of what's wrong with certain music magazines. Hey Blender, why is Rush going to be in the Hall of Fame. Stupid says what?

The video for the song is about a scheming guy and bimbo women. Sounds like Romney and Palin to me. If someone had been burning a cross then you could of said the song was about George Allen.
