Increasingly, GOP stands for ‘Guns Over People’

Increasingly the Republican Party sounds and looks like a pack of moonshiners. They speak openly of going after federal officials coming around to enforce gun laws. They talk about them the way the old moonshiners talked about “them revenue-ers.”

I mean it when I say the GOP increasingly stands for “Guns Over People.” No matter how many kids get killed, they stick to their political weapons and their talk of holding onto their semi-automatics with their “cold, dead hands.”

I think many people now see those “cold, dead hands” connected to “cold, dead hearts”—people without the slightest feeling about what semi-automatics rifles in the wrong hands have done.

Constitutional rights aren't based off of what some vocal group wants at the time. How would the left like it if certain states decided which religions are valid and which are just cults and thus will be shut down? Maybe we can decide which people are worthy of voicing a public opinion or gathering in public and which are trouble makers who must stay silent?
