This list of WBC members you have posted is inaccurate. My family members, who are in no way related to the WBC have been included simply because they share the same last name. The group Anonymous did not hack into their servers. It looks as if they simply did a Google search for anyone in Topeka with the last name Phelps, so there could be more innocent people listed there. Please refrain from harassing people listed there. My family members in particular are Carmen and Daniel Phelps, and are scared to death that someone will take these threats too far. They have become innocent victims, all because someone didn't bother to fact check a list of names before accusing them of belonging to a hate group.

What's the point of this information? So people can send them hate mail or make prank phone calls? It's not like anyone from Virginia is going to fly out there and confront them in person, and certainly nobody from this message board. Also, they're obviously not concerned about in-person confrontation, considering the fact that they show up at dead soldiers' funerals with provocative signs.

Groups like Westboro need people to hate them; to them, it justifies their message. They believe what they believe, and getting persecuted only reinforces their belief that they're right. The best way to deal with a group like this is to not acknowledge them at all, thus eliminating their validity.

Apparently, you don't understand. There is NO association other than living in the same town and unfortunately having the same last name. There is no family relation.
There is a Daniel Phelps who is a member of the WBC, but he is 12. The Daniel Phelps that is listed here (along with his wife Carmen) was born in the 1940s. You can find his father's obituary here: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/cjonline/obituary.aspx?n=manuel-w-phelps&pid=1922196
PLEASE update this list to remove their names. They have NO AFFILATION WITH THE WBC. Anonymous made an error when they included them in the list.
