The apology they posted contains this nugget of bullshit by way of an explanation:

However, when the 7NEWS reporter went on the Internet to get an image of the book cover, the reporter mistakenly grabbed a Photoshopped image that said, "All Up In My Snatch."

This is a stupid and ridiculous bit of ass-covering. I was able to find several images of Paula Broadwell's book on the Internet without the modification, but have yet to find the image they allegedly pulled off the Internet.

One of the comments on the above story by Jeff Schwartz gives a more logical explanation:

I suspect someone at 7 News made the image as a joke for friends and then some moron went ahead and used it on air without understanding it was a joke.

There's also the possibility of deliberate sabotage.

If either of these last two reasons is true, KGMH 7News has now compounded their mistake of stupidly posting the altered image by committing the much more serious ethical breach of lying about how the image came to be broadcast.
