Obama supporters gloat quite a bit more...
Posted by: Obamafans ()

When Bush was in office, there was some gloating, but not half as much as like the Obama supporters. As if they worship him like a God or something and they call anyone who doesn't like him a "racist" and then "stupid" Farm from it. And they just dont know, but they keep insisting he's going to make everything right, when clearly he hasn't, and it will only get worse with him. Why are they so snarky? The term "sore loser" doesnt apply here. More like boastful winner.

Awwwww, what's wrong...you mad, bro? Did someone lose an election last night? Oh noes! What the fuck WILL you do? Christ, I bet you didn't even make it to work today! How can you possibly handle 4 more years with that niggah in the White House? Well, we had 8 years of George Bush, right? This won't be that bad. You've been through George Bush...you can handle a nigger improving your country.

Tell you what...go down to your room....errrr, your parents basement. Mom will be down soon to slather your nasty, little genitals with marshmallow fluff and then Daddy will play hide the nine-iron in your ass and watch you lick your shit off the end of it. Then, you can all watch "Star Trek" together...

I didn't vote for Obama as much as I voted against Mitt and the Republicans and the billionaires who run things behind the scenes. Oh yeah, I hate the Tea Party also.

What's funny is that the votes are still being counted for the election and we haven't even begun to count all the provisional ballots yet.

POPULAR VOTE
OBAMA61,164,40550.5%
ROMNEY58,159,40848.0%

Obama is now up by over 3 million votes. Most of the votes that have not been counted yet are from states where Obama won by a large margin. The margin of victory in the popular vote has been growing by a lot since election day.

Note the percentage of the vote right now. Just a few ticks more and it could be that Romney only managed to get (ironically) 47% of the vote.

Then if you break that down, and look at the number of eligible voters versus the number who voted it is even lower. Somewhere between 57.8 and 60% of eligible voters cast a ballot. So 48% of 57%?

Less than a third of eligible voters voted for Romney. Although about the same number voted for Obama, so it's all a sad state of affairs.

Sadder yet is that the all heralded, all powerful, 8th wonder of the world, Nobel Peace Prize winner won the election with 8.25 million LESS votes this year than he had in the 2008 election.

From reading here, I'd have thought Obama would have increased the total number to somewhere around 100,000,000.

I wonder if he'll use that tired line about the mess the last president left him again in an upcoming speech?

I revel in your bitterness and anger, Greeny.

I'm not usually not a cut and paste guy, but I think this sums up the problems the GOP has right now,,,

Perception IS reality in politics,,,

Mitt Romney could have easily won the presidential election if he and his party had realized that they were turning people off, according to Matt Taibbi.

"If they were self-aware at all, Mitt Romney would probably be president right now," Taibbi wrote in a blog post for Rolling Stone late Thursday.

He argued that Republicans' message about financial responsibility could resonate with a lot of people, but unfortunately it is a cover for their belief that women and minorities are "parasites."

Modern Republicans "have so much of their own collective identity wrapped up in the belief that they're surrounded by free-loading, job-averse parasites who not only want to smoke weed and have recreational abortions all day long, but want hardworking white Christians like them to pay the tab," Taibbi wrote. "Their whole belief system...is inherently insulting to everyone outside the tent – and you can't win votes when you're calling people lazy, stoned moochers."

Minorities and women voted overwhelmingly for Obama in the presidential election. Fifty-five percent of women voted for Obama, according to CNN's exit polls. Obama also won nearly three-quarters of the Latino vote, more than 90 percent of the black vote, and 73 percent of the Asian-American vote, according to exit polls.

Some comments by Romney may have played a role. Romney told donors in a video leaked before the election that 47 percent of Americans "are dependent upon government," "believe that they are victims," and "believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it."

President Barack Obama trounced Romney in the electoral college, winning 332 electoral votes compared to Romney's 206. But the election was not a total victory for Democrats. Obama won the popular vote by a closer margin: 50.5 percent compared to Romney's 48.0 percent. Republicans also kept the House of Representatives, and Democrats did not gain enough seats in the Senate to prevent future filibusters by Republicans.

Sorry dude, got no angst. Just curiosity about how things got so fucked up.

Go ahead and rub in the fact that the right tossed a huge chuck of red meat into the Colosseum, but please explain what happened to all the support for Obama.

Yep, he had enough to win but that still doesn't explain why one side stayed at home just as much as the other did.

Are things really so bad that the "party in charge" is giving up hope even when they win?

As for me, don't worry. I'm going to be fine. I've hired additional people in the last couple of months and I'll either push my way through this or I'll fold. But I'm really getting tired of waiting on the government to make up their minds whether they're going to tax me to death or regulate me into the ground.......or both.

Okay, Greeny.

I think it started when the right when apoplectic over Clinton. American politics have been steadily going down the shitter since.

Cast the election results in whatever light makes you feel better, Greeny. President Obama's second term will be even more glorious than his first.
The GOP's failure to win a single Democratic seat in the Senate speaks volumes about its future (of lack thereof).

That's a decision only you can make, Greeny. Me, I do my thing as I see fit an deal w/the government as I must. I don't mind paying taxes, which I view as my cost of living in the civil society. I don't mind regulations, because they tend to either protect me, the environment, or my customers.

Liberal! You're only supposed to like the regulations that protect you. The environment and your customers are freeloaders.

And you're not supposed to call the regulations that protect you "regulations", those are just freedom rules like the founding fathers intended, you know, the way Ronald Reagan, Honest Abe Lincoln and Samuel Adams wrote them.
