Centreville is Romney country

Along Rt 29 and through the Virginia Run neighborhoods, I saw a bazillion Romney and Allen campaign signs. Some of these people are over the top, decorating their 8'x5' signs with Xmas lights, spotlights, etc.

Assholes have a way about them. Bumper stickers and big ass signs. If you are asking if the republicans in Fairfax that are assholes are likely larger than the asshole democrats in Fairfax county, then yes I would say you are spot on. Dictating peoples beliefs in bed and their own bodies, while complaining about government over reach. Sounds like things an asshole would be a part of.

Hardly a drop in the Romney vote bucket compared to the twenty illegals to a house in other parts of Centreville.

There's a house in my neighborhood that usually has about
25 signs in his yard, always Democrat. No signs up so far
this year. Usually he's the first one in the hood to post
them. Buyers remorse maybe?

Residential neighborhoods near downtown Fairfax are loaded with Obama signs.

I had an Obama sign on my yard 4 years ago but not this time. Why? Because every time I go the the campaign office, they are out of them!

I just drove to the Willard Way Safeway and nearly all the signs I saw
along the way were Romney.

I've noticed a LOT more Romney/Perkins signs versus Dems this cycle.

Also nobody canvassing the neighborhood. We usually have at least 4 or 5 different groups come though. Typically about 4 Dem and 1 Republican I'd say. This year, not a one from either side. I work from home too so I'd see them. Not even anything left at the door.

I'm sure Gerry will be out all night collecting up all the Perkins signs.

It's not like he's done anything else since elected.

No Democrat or Republican poll takers for me either. I also work from home. I did have one county official stop by to ask if I was registered to vote but she didn't ask any other questions.

We did get his usual pre-election mailing. Just checking in so that we recognize the name on the ballot I suppose.

I could live with Obama or Romney, but I'm definitely voting his ass out. Unfortunately, he'll probably win again anyway though just because people do recall the name.

Centreville - aka Crappy-Townhouse-Ville is no Republican stronghold. Quite the contrary - when you look at the demographics. Virginia Run, is the one Red island of GOP strength in that vast sea of Blue. Why? Well look at the demographics.

As of the 2010 census[1], there is a population of 71,135 people and 25,516 households in the CDP. The population density was 5,908/sq mi people per square mile (2,281/kmĀ²).

The racial makeup of the CDP was 57.0%% White, 25.7% Asian, 7.5% African American, 0.3% Native American, 0.1% Pacific Islander, and 4.4% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latinos of any race were 13.4% of the population.

According to the 2000 census, there were 21,789 households, out of which 41.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.0% were married couples living together, 10.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 32.0% were non-families. 21.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 2.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.74 and the average family size was 3.27.

In the CDP, the population is spread out, with 28.4% under the age of 18, 8.2% from 18 to 24, 43.7% from 25 to 44, 16.4% from 45 to 64, and 3.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 31 years. For every 100 females, there are 97.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.6 males.

According to a 2007 estimate,[14] the median income for a household in the CDP was $87,932, and the median income for a family was $105,803. Males had a median income of $70,123 versus $41,117 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $40,878. About 2.0% of families and 1.0% of the population were below the poverty line, including 3.0% of those under age 18 and 1.7% of those age 65 or over.

Heck Loudon County has better demographics than shitty old Centreville. Median family income in Loudon is over $115K.

In the Chalet Woods/Country Club Manor area of single family homes in Centreville, I walk every day and I've noticed the Romney political signs in individual yards outnumber the Obama ones at the rate of about 3 or 4 to 1. This seems to be a mixed neighborhood of both lower and upper middle class, both blue and white collar.
