On average, how long does it take after a man's daughter turns 18 for the man to start losing interest in his wife and start gaining interest in his daughter's friends?

I saw some documentary television program last night where a married man secretly started dating one of his daughter's friends (behind his daughter's and wife's back)
He spent lots and lots of money on her and even paid her college tuition thus causing his own daughter's college tuition check to bounce. He eventually ran out of money and became broke.
When his wife found out about it, lets just say she was not a happy camper.
On average, how long does it take after a man's daughter turns 18 for the man to start losing interest in his wife and start gaining interest in his daughter's friends?

Bad question. You are assuming that the guy lost interest in his wife when the kid hit 18. Most lose interest long before that.
