Stringfellow and Northbourne

I drive down Stringfellow every day and I noticed that they cleared some of the land at the intersection of Stringfellow and Northbourne. Are they building something there?

They are brining in trailers. It must be they ran out of land at school so they are opening school there. Only temporary until redistrict is my guess.

The trailers are the VDOT construction offices for the Fairfax County Parkway/Fair Lakes Parkway interchange project.

What is the digging on Stringfellow down the road from this hear Poplar Tree Road? Is that the gas lines? Or they extended Stringfellow to more lanes?

probably is the stringfellow widening. gonna make all of stringfellow from fair lakes pkwy to route 50 look like it does from 29 to fair lakes pkwy. can't imagine what a nightmare traffic will be on that street during morning rush with the kids also trying to get to the high school.

I lived very close by for a long time. Multiple reasons- one biggie the propery owner the owned the chunk of land opposite of pop park on the corner finally gave in and sold. For over a decade developers or whoever have been trying to get that land. Last I heard a few years back there putting in a gas station or something similar.
As for the other construction partly because of the ridiculous congestion and yes there is pipeline also watershed reasons. Honestly I don't know what the clearings about on the poplar tree park side. I noticed it recently, don't live in the ville anymore but it was sad to see
