Demographics

I grew up in Manassas and i always remembered Chantilly being a predominantly Asian community (second only to the white population, of course). Any else have the same opinion? Perhaps it was that way once? I never knew what ethnicities but i'm going to guess Korean or Vietnamese. I don't mean to come off as ignorant, so please excuse me if you are of Asian descent.

I remember the mid 70s when Herndon High started getting a lot of Reston kids and the rednecks started moving farther out to Chantilly and Centreville.

I actually read this in my school newspaper. It was something like 70% Caucasian, 11% Asian, 9% Black/African American, 7% Hispanic and 3% other.

Chantilly is 73% white and Manassas is 72% white (as of the 2000 census).

not too many asians in Chantilly compared to Annandale. Hence the term Asiandale.
