If you have a clean record (+5 is good) with no other convictions for serious driving offenses over the last several years, you'll be good to go. If the officer charged you with Reckless, you may want to plead not guilty in order to get a chance to speak with the DA and get the charge reduced to improper driving. Improper is a less severe offense with less points and doesn't stay visible on your driving record for 11 years like the reckless charge would.
You may optionally take a safe driver training class, which will net you an additional +5 points on your license. However, from the sounds of it, it's not necessary in your case. Save that for the next time you get popped for reckless, if that happens.
