So the Ffx tix search works here, but I'm still sorta uncomfortable with the idea for two reasons. The stuff's all gotta be public record, but:
1) I noticed that the farker running/hyping this site posted stuff on pro-weed websites for people to check out prospective biz partners. As long as the site isn't facilitating criminal activity, and the FBI's not gonna knock on my door for using it...
2) and with the expanded search, people can query their friends, family, etc. Not that ya would, but I'd like to know that the addresses from this search results aren't gonna be sold to advertisers or something.

Basically, what I'm saying is: would it really kill the credibility of the site to have a disclaimer and privacy policy?

The purpose of this site is solely to enable free communication between residents of Northern Virginia. Nothing will ever be sold. All of the data in the arrest list is published by the Fairfax County police every week on their website http://www.co.fairfax.va.us/ps/police/homepage.htm All I have done is pull down the arrest list every week for the last two years and make it searchable.

As far as privacy I consider it a huge issue. I'm the one with the most at stake. All log files are rotated and encrypted on a weekly basis. The server that this site resides on is owned by me and hosted by the ISP that I work for. Nothing can happen to this site "behind my back" in any way.

The only reason Travis Tucker (from Manassas) showed up on the Fairfax County arrest list is because he was pulled over in Fairfax County. Failure to obey a highway sign means failing to obey any sign with a white background. Usually it's an illegal U-Turn or something. I only know because I have one on my record.

As far as a disclaimer/privacy policy I think it's a very good idea. I'll add an "about" section with this information in the next couple of days. Thanks for your input.

I was wondering if the photo of Sheila Reprieto could be removed from this site. The reason is that my grandchildren, 1 of which is her daughter, are old enough now to google the name out of curiosity as people do & this would be a terrible shock if they (i.e. her little daughter & older son) saw this. I know the arrest & ticket records are public property, but whoever put the photo up did it to humiliate Sheila, & it does not come under the same standards of public information that is legal to publish. I'm not implying that it IS illegal, it's just in very bad taste. I guess the attempt to humiliate her really didn't go anywhere or I'd have seen a similar request from her on here. She really isn't "all there" if you know what I mean, so this photo only serves to eventually hurt & embarrass the kids if they find it. This photo I believe was posted during a custody battle against her as well, so that shows the malice intended. Any possibility of my request being carried out? All of the adults who contributed to the running commentary on her were acting like vindictive gossipy brats, so I am just attempting to at least remove the photo part of it. Kids are alot less likely to READ this hit, but they WILL look at pictures. Thanks for considering this.

I agree this could come up to bit her in the ass and if the children do google her name it will "shock them". It's seems both sides contributed to the childish antics towards each other. After searching her name in the Prince William County Court systems. It shows that picture was put up months after she had already lost custody so it doesn't sem that was a factor. It seems it was done to embarass her and that picture was sent by this Sheila over the internet (which legally she made it public). I feel for the kids and hopefully they will not see this. I agree she seems to "not be all there" as Kathy stated, otherwise, she would have not sent the picture over the internet knowing what could happen these days.

I suppose the moral of this story is, "you live and learn." There are many people on here who have false convictions on this web-site and complain about. Maybe your request will be answered, but I wouldn't count on it.

I really appreciated reading that Sonia & isdlt supported my request. I read elsewhere on here after I posted, that requests like mine are basically never granted, but at least I tried. I could ellaborate on how this photo got onto the internet, but it's a long story, & incriminates somebody real obvious, who has been illegally gaining access to peoples accounts for some time now.
