if you want to be humane cut some meat from the animals mandible and it will become docile and will no be able to bite very hard

however: if the animal tasted blood i'd kill the thing

male pit bulls can be very testy especially if they have testicles. they will look you dead in the eye and growl if you look them dead back in the eye.

Are you kidding me? I don't know what kind of pit bulls you have been exposed to, if you aren't speaking out of your asshole, but dogs (ALL DOGS) do as they are trained to do. Irresponsible ownership is the only thing to blame. How the hell is cutting part of its face off humane? You're dumb.
