Bailey's Pub in Ballston Commons Mall

Closed.

No surprise, it didn't seem to be doing much business even after Union Jack's closed last year.

I recall going there for lunch the week it opened in May 2003 and like so
many new businesses was filled with promise. But the owners (it changed
hands a few years back) never put a dime into the place, except for a minor
TV upgrade. Tables, chairs, everything else was the same for 10 years to include the sticky scum on the floors.

A couple of years after it opened, it had a "hot waitress night" where the
staff paraded around on catwalks for the crowd. That's back when it had a
good looking wait staff.

According to the barber shop employees next door, that entire end of the
mall is going to be demolished and high rise apartments constructed in its
place. At least that's what they had heard.

So what's next to go? Car Pool? I'm surprised its still there after all
these years.

In fact most of Ballston mall will be torn down and re-built as an "outdoor mall"
What kind of bullshit is that and what kind of corrupt assholes on the county board approved such a stupid idea? You all know what the weather is like around here, how many days of the year would you want to stroll around outdoors and shop? This will reduce the functionality of Ballston as a shopping mall, hang-out or enjoyable public space, by at least 50% considering the weather here. So why did they do it??
