Briar Woods = State Champs, but 3rd best team in Ashburn!

So, Broad Run beats Briar Woods 14-0 in a game that wasn't as close as the final score would indicate.

Stone Bridge defeats Broad Run.

Does that make the two time state champions the third best team in their own home town?

And they are still in AA despite having more kids in their school than Broad Run!
They scored as many points against Broad Run as you did.
OP was right - through a classification error, they are state champs, but are only third best team in their own town!

An argument for "at most 2nd best" would be valid, but since the transitive property does not apply in sports, I don't know if you can say Stone Bridge is better since they beat Broad Run who beat Briar Woods. That's indeterminate.

Not with their new head coach! Dawson had the most talented defense in the entire region, Div 5 or 6, and his teams got torched.

A crying shame what happened to that Broad Run defense. Makes no sense.

My kid will only be in third grade next year. John Champe will probably go through three coaches before he's even eligible to play for them. Patience, grasshopper.
