A community information session is scheduled for next week to discuss plans to build a park-and-ride lot at Franklin Park near Purcellville.

Loudoun County representatives and the design consulting team will be available to answers questions and listen to comments about the project. The meeting will be at 7 p.m. next Thursday at the Franklin Park Arts Center, 36441 Blueridge View Lane.

The plans include building a 200-space park-and-ride lot on the southeast corner of Franklin Park, with a portion of the lot designed to be used by equestrian organizations. An open parking area for horse trailers is planned.
