Just after 5:30 thursday morning a man lying on the ground in Bluestone Court in Ashburn was hit by a person delivering newspapers to area homes.
According to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office, the delivery person was driving a 2011 Nissan Versa, a coupe, on Bluestone Court. As the driver went around the cul-de-sac, the car hit the 20-year-old man who was lying in the street. The victim was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital, but does not appear to have life-threatening injuries.
Details about how the 20-year-old ended up in the street have not been revealed by authorities, but the sheriff's office did report that it appears the use of alcohol may have been a factor.
No charges are pending against the driver.
