A 63-year-old West Virginia man was charged with abduction, simple assault, destruction of property, preventing a victim from calling 911 and tresspassing on June 26, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff Office.

The suspect, Robert R. George, remains held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond.

The incident occurred in the 10 block of E. Pennsylvania Avenue in Lovettsville at the victim’s residence, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Kraig Troxell said.

According to Troxell, the suspect and victim know each other.

“The victim is not a family member, but a female acquaintance,” Troxell said.

The incident, which appears domestic in nature, remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
