A party in celebration of the end of the school year ended up with 24 Purcellville teenagers facing petitions for underage possession of alcohol.
Loudoun County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home on the 17200 block of Simmons Road in Purcellville around 11:30 p.m. on June 16 after receiving word of an underage party where alcohol was present, according to Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Kraig Troxell. The last day of public school was June 16.
Twenty four teenagers aged between 14 and 17 are now facing petitions for underage possession of alcohol. In addition, two male teenagers were treated at the scene by medical personnel due to their condition. All of the teens at the party were later released into the custody of their parents, according to Troxell.
The host of the party, a 45-year-old female who resides in the home, was cited with a summons for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, Troxell said.
