Student Reports Suspicious Van At School Bus Stop

Deputies and school administrators in Sterling are on alert for suspicious activity after a female Park View High School student reported that two men tried to get her into their van while she was standing at her bus stop waitng to get to school Wednesday morning.
According to the sheriff's office incident report, the student reported that she was approached by a green Dodge Van with no rear windows and Virginia tags. According to the teenager, the two men in the van asked her if she wanted a ride. They later asked her to get into the vehicle. When two more students approached the area, the van left. Arriving at school, she reported the incident to school personnel.
The two occupants of the van were described as Hispanic males in their mid 20s.
The sheriff's office has assigned a directed patrol to the area and the incident is under investigation by the School Resource Officer Unit.
