Police are searching for a man accused of stealing from the garage of a house, then pointing a gun at a neighbor in Lansdowne late June 1.
A resident was walking his dog in the 43700 block of Riverpoint Drive in Lansdowne about 11:50 p.m. when he saw someone he didn’t know wearing a motorcycle helmet in the garage of a neighbor’s home, Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Kraig Troxell said.
The resident confronted the alleged burglar, who then fled on foot. The resident gave chase and at one point, the burglar turned around and pulled out a gun. Then the burglar ran to a black pick-up truck driven by another man and fled from the scene, Troxell said.
A motorcycle helmet, a leaf blower and a weed wacker were taken from the garage, Troxell said.
