Three Charged In Immigration Scam

A joint investigation by the Leesburg Police Department and the Northern Virginia Gang Task Force has resulted in the arrest of three Leesburg residents for allegedly promising to provide individuals with fake immigration documents.
This morning, the Leesburg Police Department’s Emergency Response Team, assisted by members of the Criminal Investigations Section and the Northern Virginia Gang Task Force, raided two residences on Heritage Way. Tomasa Solis, 51, Yesica Carolina Reyes-Moran, 21, and Julio Cesar Guzman, 24, all of Leesburg, were charged with obtaining money by false pretenses. Solis was ordered held on a $2,500 secure bond and Cesar Guzman was ordered held without bond. Reyes-Moran was released on a personal recognizance bond.
During an investigation into the creation of fictitious immigration documents, law enforcement officers learned that Solis, Reyes-Moran and Cesar Guzman were involved in an immigration documentation scam in which they allegedly targeted Latino residents and promised to provide the false documents in exchange for cash.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call the Leesburg Police Department at 703-771-4500. Callers wishing to remain anonymous may call the Leesburg Crimeline at 703-443-TIPS.
