my husband got pulled over on 28 for doing 94 in a 55-court next month-anyone had anything similar in Loudoun? What was your outcome? Any suggestions appreciated.

I hope they throw the book at him. Speedsters on 28 make me wish I could go all Twisted Metal on their ass.

Almost going 100 on 28? What was so important that he had to almost go twice the limit?

I agree with the previous poster I hope they give him the maximum penalty for his arrogance.

I dunno. If he had to poop, I guess I'd probably be a bit more lenient.

What's your address? You'll need some male company while he's in the slammer for the next yr.

Greg, around here we don't called highways "the" + route number. We simply use the route number, as in "100 miles an hour on 28?" as opposed to "100 miles an hour on the 28?" Got it? I think that's a California thing.

If you can afford one get a lawyer. You were not charged with aggressive driving too were you? I have had two reckless driving tickets but fines were cheaper then. You could call the number on the ticket and find out what the fine is. Hang in there. I grew up in Loudoun.

I was driving on THE 101 in California a decade or two ago and was passed like I was standing still when I tried to drive only 10 MPH over the speed limit - including by a cop car.

Explains the 28 speed.

To be fair, if you're referring to 101 out in CA, I think it's fair to refer to it as THE 101. That road is beautiful.

They do things differently out there on the left coast. It's the same when someone calls a soda a "pop".

Freedom Overcrowding Solution
Posted by: South Riding Schools ()
Date: February 21, 2011 06:45PM

Freedom High School is going to have the largest student population of any school in the county in 2011-2012 school year. To deal with this overcrowding at Freedom the 9th graders next year will be split in half. Half of them will be at the nearby middle school on an A day and the other half will be at Freedom. Then they switch on B days. I personally think this is a great way to deal with the population issue, but I think this issue could have been prevented long before. LCPS simply did not build large enough schools to accommodate the large growth in the South Riding area. I think this is just a failure on LCPS's part to look at future planning and development. I also think it saves a lot more money to build one large school instead of 2 small schools. Any opinions on this?
