Got my first DUI do I have to go to VASAP or ....

Got busted on my first DUI. What happens now? I've been reading about VASAP and researching attornies for my case. I read somewhere that I'll need a substance abuse evaluation where do I get one? When do I get one? After court or before court? Do I need to take a class? Where? Help!

OP you go to ASAP after sentencing (see: last court date).

DO NOT TELL THEM HOW MUCH YOU ACTUALLY DRINK.

Say you were celebrating a family occasion or something. If you answer yes to questions like "Do you drink more than once a week" or "Have you ever drank by yourself" they will make you go to outpatient group therapy(expensive!) instead of just the mundane ASAP classes
