Mailbox destructions last week on Piggott Bottom Rd.

On Thursday night between 10:30 PM and 12:30AM Friday morning several mailboxes were intentionally struck on Piggott Bottom Rd.This caused several hundred dollars worth of property damage loss by the various homeowners.
Personally, this was the third time my mailbox has been damaged.

Now for the good news under the heading of: Isn"t Technology Wonderful".

After the last occurrance, I mounted a remote infrared camera lens from a nearby tree in hope it would capture an image of the suspect vehicle. I had to wait a couple of months for it to happen again, but I now have the image of the vehicle striking the row of mailboxes.I want the driver of the vehicle or any of his friends which were also in the car to come foward and pay for the damage, or I will give the info to the Loudoun Deputy who is investiagting the cases and you will be charged criminally, for each mailbox struck. Anyone with knowledge about the incident should respond to this and maybe we can keep a high school student from being kept out of college because of a criminal history.
And by the way, I'm also looking to hear from the occupants of the red chevy which came through to admire and laugh at the damage on Friday morning.

We'll see.
Unlike you "funnyshit", I don't pretend to be someone I'm not by lying or using foul language to make myself look like a tough guy. I'm trying to give the dudes in the vehicle a chance here, if nobody takes me up on the offer that's fine with me. At least I can say I tried.
This offer only lasts till the end of the week. Then, all bets are off.

Keep watching this space...tough guy

"Wired" - Turn them in - I don't think you will hurt their chances of getting into college due to a criminal record. It is likely that these vandals are not college candidates and may have a record already. By turning them in, you could save neighbors from future loss or at least save these delinquents from being hurt if not killed in a vehicle accident or property invasion. When unpunished, this type of behavior in young adults typically leads to more dangerous activity. It is only a matter of time before they come face to face with a startled property owner who takes action to protect his family and possessions. Also, these offenders probably live in the immediate area - so the vehicle(s) is probably parked in one of the communities or on a property nearby.

There's been a rash of car vandalism in S. Riding. IF you really have information that could lead to the arrest of these people, you really need to turn it over to the sheriff.

I second the BULLSHIT call...

Your fancy IR camera set up doesn't put a timestamp on the video? The closest estimate to the time of the incident that you can give is a two hour window? You have a deputy investigating and never told him about the cameras? -- or you did tell him, and he didn't ask to see the video?

Here's a suggestion... Get a 5" or 6" steel pipe to use as a post. Set it in concrete then fill the pipe with concrete all the way to the top. Use pipe clamps to mount the mailbox alongside the pipe - just below the top. You'll put a world of hurt on the next shithead that tries to take out your mailbox.
