Man Barricades Himself Inside Sterling Home

Members of the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office are clearing the scene of a barricade situation in Sterling.
At approximately 12:30 this afternoon the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office learned a man had made statements he was going to harm himself. The man, whose name has not been released, barricaded himself in a room inside of a residence in the 100 block of Plum Tree Court in Sterling Park. Another man also was inside the home, and the sheriff's office learned there were weapons in the residence as well.
Members of the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Emergency Response Team and the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Hostage Negotiations Unit responded to the scene. A Reverse 911 was also issued to homes in the area advising residents to stay in their homes during the barricade situation, according to the sheriff's office.
At approximately 2:25 p.m. the subject exited the home and was taken into custody without incident. No one was injured in the incident.
