Davis' Dairy Bar

Anyone know anything about the Davis' Dairy Bar that is under construction next to the new Shell station in Burke Centre? Would love to have a great local ice cream joint that's not a chain... seems like a pretty random location though.

The past couple of years, Davis' Dairy Bar was set-up in Fairfax Station @ Davis' Store (Clifton & Wolf Run Shoals). After taking my daughter to the playground in Burke Lake Park, an ice cream from the Dairy Bar was our 'special treat'. Last year, the owner of Davis' Store bought the old Mobil station in Burke Center and has reopenned it as a Shell (he also owns the Shell by the Wal*Mart). He relocated the Dairy Bar to Burke anticipating higher traffic will increase profits. The ice cream is fresh & very good - highly recommended. I wish them the best.

If you want a local ice cream guy go to Peterson's Ice Cream in Clifton.

Just won best ice cream in the metro area I think.
