The teens in the Burke Centre area are getting more agressive and destructive. I have had the paint ball shot at my house and Christmas decorations stolen and taken to the woods on the south side of Marshall Pond Road. I have had pumpkins smashed into my front door. I would advise everyone to watch and report the punks that are doing these things. What they don't realize is that if they keep uping the level of destruction that something very bad could happen to them if they run in to the wrong person. They think they are big gangstas but the reality is that they are little suburb girlie boys and someday they will enter a home or garage and most people will do what it takes to protect their family. If you have kids around your house that are out all hours disrupting the peace or if YOUR kids are out at all hours destroying the commnity I would advise you to get involved. They are not the little angelks you think they are. It will not be tolerated by most people.

Keep posting here with specifics (age/race/height/times/actions/etc) and we'll help track down all the kids causing trouble.

The Terra Centre School play ground was covered with graffiti. It happened late at night within the last couple of nights. Looks like the kids that hang out at the Shell station and Wendy's decided to go by WalMart and get some paint and destroy more property on their way home to their blind parents.Spring is coming and I'm sure it will become more frequent.

There have been kids (some low 20's) breaking into and partying in the Community Pool Houses. Some of them try to steal from the registers, etc. Watch out for those.

Vandalized Trailers at Terra Centre...

These guys are very close to getting caught!

Do you live in Burke Cnetre and have kids that were running the street during this?

Sometime late Friday (4 June) evening or early Saturday morning, the learning trailers near the preschool playground at Terra Centre were vandalized. There was non-gang related graffiti sprayed on the trailers. Community members noticed the graffiti and reported it. This enabled school personnel to respond and take the necessary steps to have it covered before students returned Monday morning. As the summer progresses, it is possible that evening incidents of vandalism might increase. Having community members continue to be vigilant about keeping a watchful eye on the Terra Centre campus during times when school personnel are not on duty is a great help. If you hear or see something please call the Fairfax County Public Schools Office of Security immediately at (703) 764-2500.

Are there still all those teenagers that hang out at the Wendy's in BC? In the mid 2000's there would be up to two dozen of them on some late nights. I thought they had cleared them out somewhat, but I guess not.

The area is still a hang out. most of the kids are just hanging out with each other and not causing trouble. Most I'm sure are good kids. Some are there to damage the area. The driver kids seem to be just fine on the most part. The kids that are walking and live at the back end of Pond Spice past Marshall Pond Road are the kids that have be causing trouble. I have even witnessed them walking in front of cars to challenge people and then acting like they are bad when someone honks or gets near them. Just trying to intimidate the weak. Yeah I had this happen to me several years back. Just rolled my eyes and got my late-night "value" menu. (note how they've dropped the 99 cents part?)

Seen a lot of new young guys I'd never seen before walking around without a backpack or any obvious purpose. This is within the last 2 months or so. Mostly around Burke Centre.

I've been working in Burke Centre for a few years now. During the summer time is the worst of them all! Fucking kids EVERYWHERE! It's ok though, we were all kids once in our lifetime. But seriously, getting a little annoying though since Burke has a high ass concentration of residents.

back in the day, it was "Robinson's" McDonalds and you could get beat up if you went there and were from Woodson or Fairfax

Maybe instead of complaning about how the teens are destroying the neighborhood and that they need to get off their x-box and study you should help create a free place for them to do more then just watch tv at home or get into trouble. There are teens riding their skateboards in the middle of the street because there is no place else to ride them other then wakefeild skate park which requires people to wear full on gear(most people who skate don't wear any, that I've seen). There needs to be some place safe for the teens to go and be active other then the movies and the malls not all of them can afford to do that regularly, and sitting around at home gets tire some after a while.
