Sunrise Monster

The new Sunrise being built over by the Silas Burke House is monster big! It really dwarfs the house and it's going to large enough to house plenty of retired folks from the Northern Virginia area. I'm really looking forward to seeing the completed project. Does anyone know when it will be open for tours and how much it will cost to move in? Would love for my mother in law to live there.

Car insurance is going to go through the roof in the Burke area because of this old folks home. Its going to be a Cadillac destruction derby on the road in front of the new place. Get ready to dodge these fogies as they weave and dont signal all over the place. Im really dissappointed that theyre tearing up the area around the Silas Burke house just to add more old people to this already overcrowded area. History has no place in the world anymore evidently.

At least they saved the house! Some wanted the house torn down but the community rallied to save it. A local guy w/ a metal detector was permitted onto the property to look for Civil War relics but all that was found were a bunch of old metal toothpaste tubes and assorted trash. Nothing valuable to speak of. There was an article in The Connection newspaper about his finds.
