This is what i heard: After falling 11-1 in a 5 inning "slodder" rule decision the Spartan baseball team met with their coach for postgame discussion. The team was apparently instructed to go touch the State Championship banner in centerfield as a sign of respect and to show what theyre working towards. It was then ripped from the fence with tares in it. Immediately they were kicked off the field by Lake Braddock coach Jody Rutherford. This is not an official post or anything, im just telling what i heard. Anyone who can confirm please reply.

Heard that too. There was some major heckling going on during the game as well that may have gotten the WS boys charged up. Heard a WS player changed schools from LB this year. Heard the LB boys heckled him quite a bit. I guess some incident over the winter between the team have left tensions high. I just heard rumors but if what I heard happened was true - some of those boys should have been expelled by way of FCPS zero-tolerance. But seems the LB/WS baseball kids have a different set of rules than your average student. I think all boys involved (in the bullying incident over the winter, the heckling and the banner incident) should be suspended or punished. But down the coaches have balls enough to put their seasons as risk over doing the right thing.

slodder? Are you kidding? It's slaughter. As in one team is slaughtering the other. I can't believe they have that in HS baseball. That's little kid stuff.
