Anyone remember Planet Play in the shopping center that, at the time, had Target, Blockbuster, and Burger King- a block away from Terra Centre?
This is rather strange, but I'm looking for pictures from the place or any information you have.
There was also a Planet Play at Springfield Mall, as well as "Planet Splash and Play," a joint waterpark-arcade in Chantilly.
Any other locations you remember?

It was actually a K-Mart in that shopping center, but yeah, those were the good old days. It was way better than it is now with an over crowded Wal-Mart and pretty much nothing where the Burger King and Planet Play stood. The only Burger King in Burke now is that tiny crap hole at Rolling Valley Mall that is only good for To-Go orders. They're making people sick, too. What is happening to Burke? I'm pretty sure it peaked in the 90s.

Achem, I knew that- K-Mart, with the cafe area near the entrance.
I particularly enjoy that Barbeque World still stands. Although they recently got all new furniture, it's sort of a trip back to then when you go in there. Definitely recommend trying it if you haven't because it's quite good food to begin with.
Although I'm pretty young, I experienced enough of those times to want it back.

Where the Planet PLay/BK were, there is a new bagel place and a Peruvian chicken place (Chicken Palace) which is fantastic and cheap. WAY better food than BBQ World. Worst BBQ I've ever had!

I actually found a Planet Play Locations in Canada...
They should open up A Dave And Busters at either University Mall or Burke Centre...
Wasn't planet play that Game place across from this Food Court at Springfield Mall on the Lower Level??

Burke was the first planet play opened. In addition to Springfield Mall and Burke, there were locations in Reston (Plaza America) and in Woodbridge. Centreville Mini Golf and Games was also part of the Planet Play chain when it first opened, but it was later sold and operated to someone else, before it closed. The owner of planet play also owned the Burger King restaurants adjacent to the Burke and Reston locations. The owner went on to open Kingpinz in Leesburg.

said that you send $1.00 to each of the 6 names and address stated in
the article. You then place your own name and address in the bottom of
the list at #6, and post the article in at least 200 newsgroup. (There
are thousands) No catch, that was it. So after thinking it over, and
talking to few people first, I thought about trying it. I figured what
have I got to lose except 6 stamps and $6.00, right? Like most of us I
was a little skeptical and a little worried about the legal aspects of
it : All, So I checked it out with the U.S. Post Office and they confirmed that it is indeed legal! Then I
invested the measly $6.00. Well GUESS WHAT!!?. Within 7 days, I started
getting money in the mail! I was shocked! I figured it would end soon,
but the money just kept coming in. In my first week, I made about
$25.00. By the end second week I had made a total over $1,000.00! In
the third week I had over $10,000.00 and it’s still growing. This is
now my fourth week and I have made a total of just over $42,000.00 and
it’s still coming in rapidly. Its : Certainly worth $6.00, and 6
stamps, I have spent more than that on the lottery!! Let me tell you
HOW this works and most importantly, WHY it works! Also, make sure you
print a copy of this article NOW, so you can get the information off of

The owner's name was Oliverio. He was a gym teacher at lake Braddock and the dad of Bret Oliverio from the Sports Junkies.

That department store was actually a K-Mart, but you’re right, those were the good old days. It used to be great, but now there's an overcrowded Wal-Mart and a blank lot where the Burger King and Planet Play once stood. The Burger King in Burke has been reduced to a tiny, understaffed, takeout-only kiosk in Rolling Valley Mall. People get sick from them too. Where does Burke go from here? I think its heyday was in the '90s. geometry dash

It sounds like you are nostalgically reminiscing about a fondly remembered childhood establishment called Planet Play - perhaps an indoor playground, arcade, or family entertainment center. And hoping anyone in the dinosaur game community who lived in that area and visited Planet Play might be able to relatestories or memories about their experiences there.
