Older couple leaving rat poison in their yard

Charlestown couple leaving rat poison in common area to deter animals (i.e. your loving pooch) from ever peeing or pooping on the common area of mulchy woods (Carrleigh Pkwy near the Forrester crosswalk). Killed one of my neighbor's beautiful sweet dogs :(

This is NOT what Charlestown is about. We are a dog-loving neighborhood. We don't tolerate hate, especially directed towards our four-legged family members.

If people kept their fucking dogs out of other people's yards, they'd have nothing to worry about. Fuck you for criticizing him.

My neighbor lets his dog run loose in the neighborhood and it shits in everyone's yards. I scoop up the turds and leave them on the asshole's doorstep.

Alpha Male if you read carefuly you would have noted that the poison in a common area...not their own property. Finding shit in your yard sucks..but really do we have to kill over a peice of poop? What ever happened to getting needs met while still being decent? Very sad.

Owners who let their animals roam deserve whatever happens to them.

It takes a true edgy alpha male to talk about harm to an animal like it's what their owners deserve for their behavior. Maybe get mad at the people instead, I dunno.

I live next door to the older couple in question...they did have rat poison in their own yard, but not in the common area you're referring to. Tom Luppo, the dog's owner, used to sik his dog on neighborhood kids and let it run off the leash constantly. The dog died one day and he blamed it on some neighbors (not the old couple), spreading the rumor that they killed it with rat poison. He had the carcass inspected, though, and it turns out he killed his own dog from drugs lying around his own house. The police verified this. And yes, he clearly got what was coming to him. He has been arrested on several occasions for a variety of crimes, including harassing the people he (erroneously) blamed for his dog's death.

One ironic aspect to all this is that Luppo flipped out when his dog died, as if he felt great love for it. Many of us saw him screaming at the neighbors and the police come by to serve a warrant on him. However, he constantly abused the dog. He left it tied up for 5-6-7 hours at a time, regardless of weather, even during the arctic blast, rarely interacted with it, let it run wild, often narrowly missing getting squashed by cars on carrleigh, and never walked it. And of course not keeping his drugs out of the animal's reach. Tying up a dog and/or letting it run wild is not the act of an animal lover...

People who think a dog is a "member of their family" are BAT SHIT CRAZY. Dogs are nice PETS but they are not people, get ahold of yourselves already...

LUPO THOMAS MATTHEW, 47, 01/13/2014 18.2-60.3(A), STALKING: REASONABLE FEAR OF DEATH/ASSAULT/ETC, 8247 CARRLEIGH PKWY SFLD, SPRINGFIELD, VA 22152

The first one was a google search, the 2nd one was from our very own Underground arrest search.

Sounds like hes a nut then, and there was no elderly poison control.

I have been seeing a few dogs run around the area without leashes though, that has to stop.

Also very unrelated but there may be some kids in the area breaking into cars at night. Don't be a dingus and leave yours unlocked.

There is an elderly woman who walks her dog on Carrleigh past Greeley near the entrance to the lake accotink park. She seems like a nice old lady but she allows the rather large dog to roam freely on the walks with no leash. The dog is pooping out of sight and she doesn't pick it up because she can't see it. The dog runs in the road and jumps on children playfully but someone could get hurt. I find it especially disrespective because my leashed dog whom I am training will get harassed by an unisciplined dog who's not on a leash.

This is not only disrespectful but it's really dangerous for the animal to be running unchecked on busy Carrleigh. The woman is blissfully ignorant, when I brought up the leash laws she says her dog "buddy is really friendly and won't hurt a fly", she doesn't seem to even carry poop bags with her. She may be an old woman but this is really unacceptable.

I've talked with her, too. She is oblivious. I imagine that FFX Co animal control could be called on her if you see her again.

Buddy is super sweet! Stop being such a grouch. And let's be honest here, Buddy doesn't make it some kind of habit of running into Carrleigh....he goes into the park. People need to stop speeding on Carrleigh! It's 25mph! That's the real danger.

Life is not perfect. Stop sweating the simple stuff.

I can't tell Tammi P. and Blam "THANK YOU" Enough for the information that you both posted here in regards to Tom Lupo. I regrettably interacted with this asshole years ago and in the end and for quite some time after, the Loser went around and lied to everyone about me, trying to trash me, because he feared I would tell all of his secrets. He told everyone that I WAS A STALKER AND HE FEARED FOR HIS LIFE, which NONE of it was true. MY OH MY MY MYYYYYY... The Irony In This All!!! Tammi P. hit the nail on the head with her information. Nuff Said!!! It may take a long time, but KARMA ALWAYS prevails!!! R.I.P. Shorty... You were indeed a good dog... that definitely deserved so much better than you had to live and how you lost your life.
